The Mueller, a new development at what used to be the Robert Mueller airport in Austin, TX, is set to activate a solar farm of flower-shaped collectors as part of its commitment to sustainable communities. Designed by the Harries/Héder Collaborative, “SunFlowers – A Garden of Energy” collects energy and provides shade during the day, while powering hike-and-bike trail lights at night.
“Cities across Texas are incorporating solar energy in new and forward thinking ways,” said Congressman
Michael McCaul, District 10. “Seeing projects like the SunFlowers in Austin demonstrates that the citizens and
corporations that live in and serve our community are dedicated to exploring solar energy and its potential to
change the way we live.
